Hey reader!
I tried making some traditional Taiwanese sweet taro balls this weekend! The results were nice, but I think I used a bit too much tapioca flour as it turned out a bit too chewy. Either way, the color and flavor turned out amazing! This is my third time making it following the same recipe, but I don't make it frequently enough to remember my last session to adjust the ingredients accordingly. Conclusion, I should make it more often!

This dessert is served with a sweet coconut syrup (in the background, you can see the saucepan in the bottom left picture). I added fresh honey mangoes when I served it, but the possibilities are endless. You can add other potato-types to make other colors than purple. It is also possible to add tapioca pearls, mung beans, grass jelly, and other foods you like into the mix!
I forgot to take a last photo of the final result, but as you can see in the bottom right picture, the taro balls turned out vivid in the purple color after boiling them! Simple, and delicious ❤️
Thanks for reading! Have a nice day! 🌞
